For over three decades, the Board has believed that all laser and light practitioners must have a solid understanding of laser and light physics, tissue interaction, and safety to maximize treatment efficacy. The ABLS Certification provides a valuable learning experience and superior knowledge of laser and light tissue interaction at the chomophore level for optimum treatment parameters. Our Diplomates can differentiate their practices to patients and augment manufacturer training. The ABLS is the world's ONLY laser medical specialty board for Fundamental Laser Science, Delivery Systems, Laser and Light-tissue Interaction, Ethics and Laser Safety for all practitioners – we provide several Cosmetic Laser and Light Disciplines for cosmetic laser practitioners.
The ABLS offers significant fee reductions for AACS members:
Application Fee – standard rate @ $150 – AACS = $50
Study Guide / Written Examinations – standard @ $895 – AACS = $750
Oral Examination – standard @ $750 – AACS = $600
Total reduction of $395 or over 20%! Fees are due in stages and not all upfront: the Study Guide / Written Exams fee due upon acceptance, and the Oral Exam fee only when the Written Exams are completed. Our base Study Guide is proprietary, the Written Examinations are online and on an open-book basis, and the Oral Exams are conveniently administered via web conference. We bring convenience as well as superior information for practicing clinicians.
